An excellent and probably essential book for getting started with Logic 8, it effectively and efficiently steps the user through the application's interfaces, tools and working methods, and has good tutorial materials and lessons, including scoring to video. It is not comprehensive, however, and only briefly touches on the powerful soft synth and processing tools in Logic 8. That would require a whole other volume. I have been messing with computer recording for a few years now and just got a Mac and Logic.
