Not only is it thick and stiff, I found the pick to have a very good profile. It definitely helped my picking.

These picks, being uber thick and made of lexan, do not bend when picking a string, giving them incredibly fast attack, great for playing fast and hard. The textured indentation in the center keeps the pick under your control. The only caveat is that lexan picks wear out pretty quickly, so be sure to order a lot.

Am just beginning to play guitar and my teacher showed me this pick. It was much easier to control and didn't slip in my fingers.
