I have found the many of the same things to be true as the previous reviewer. If you want a brighter Elixir, they also make NanoWeb versions with a lighter coating. They do wear out quicker though.

Before I started using Elixirs, my favorite strings were D' Addario 80/20 Phosphor Bronze. I could get 3 sets for the price of 1 set of Elixirs. There's NO SUCH THING as a "best string". From experimenting over the years, I've found that, while I have "old standbys" that will be the first thing I try, often there is a string that is just right for a particular guitar and it varies from guitar to guitar.
