First off, I'm running the software on an ancient IBM T23 (1.0ghz, 768mb ram) so most of you should be fine with the system requirements.
Second, this little thing is great. No latency, and you can hook up any instrument with a 1/4" out to the PC. Remember, this is not recording software (but you can use it with most recording software, including the free ones such as Audacity). Just look for the "Recording Device" and "Playback Device" and set them both to the Toneport if you're using ...

Well the fact that its an insane buy is pretty much clear from the other reviews. I'd just add my two pence to the technical aspects. This baby is now compatible with Vista 64 bit and the drivers are all available on the line6 support site. It has a head phone/line-out jack and hence you can further connect your device to other sound systems. The number of tones that come with the package software are ample in my opinion. But many have said that the extra tones which is for sale in the model pack is ...

obviously , they are not gonna tell you the bad things about a prodcut, only the good ones, in this case, the good ones are true, you can do all that is advertise here, with not that much of a computer demand, it's usb so it always have latency, ( a little delay since you play until you hear the procesed sound ) , but it's really really short, so... for practice, Jamming with you favorite mp3, or youtube video, it's great, the effects on it, are OK some really nice, and otherones kind of flat and cheap, ...

It works well with Vista, and the interface is great. Lots of variety in selecting sounds, guitars and amps. It's truly hot. But while I can manage the box via USB, I can't get sound out of it the same way. I had to plug the box directly into the sound card through a mike port. It's a bit primative and the sound is analog, not digital. Also, you have to watch the volume or you could fry the sound card by putting too much electricity through the mike port. I recommend the product, but be aware that you may ...

This little thing is just amazing. Every capability Line6 described is true and you can spend hours experimenting with new quality tones. Setup was very easy, even though my computer met the minimun requirements. I don't know what latency is because this unit has solve that problem, I really believe that Tone direct monitoring is working great. I've been using it on a daily basis and every day I can create and recreate a lot of tones. If you want to save your money and still sound great, you should give it ...
