Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great tuner
I haven't tried many other chromatic tuners but this one is hassle free. The PT1 was recommended by guitar teacher, but the features it added didn't make sense to me. I'm not on stage or back stage and don't have to tune in the dark. This model works very well when you find the right placement on the headstock. Definitely Recommended.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Handy and inexpensive tuner/works great!
I love the intellitouch tuners. They are compact and fit right on the head of the instrument. They are easy to use and display the note you are nearest, and when there are equal arrows on each side of the note--you are in tune. I am terrible about loosing electronic tuners and the intellitouch tuners stick with me longer than any other brand. :)
I bought my bare bones model in an emergency. I lost my regular intellitouch and it was too far to payday, so I ordered the bare bones to get me through the month. I was delightfully surprised. It was exactly like the more expensive model except it was white instead of black in color and it does not light up at night. You do need a little light to see the display. After several years,I still have this tuner, still use it, and it still
looks and works great. The light issue has never been a problem. Usually there is always some light--even at night.
The only problem I have ever had with intellitouch is that the batteries are those specialty round ones, and I am too lazy to make a special trip to the battery store for them. My husband usually waits until they go out on every tuner in the house, and then makes a trip to replace them all at once. They do last a lot longer than more readily available batteries, and it is not intellitouch's fault that I don't like to go to a special store. :) Also--I sent one of my more expensive models back to the company for repairs and they do everything on it and send it back for $15. My tuner had been dropped and it wasn't their fault, but they were great about it anyway.
Great company and great little tuner!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Tuning For Dummies
I bought this as a beginning violin student a few years ago. I got tired of waiting until my lessons for my instructor to tune my violin. You simply attach it anywhere on the instrument and pluck the strings. The number of arrows on the left and right of the display tell you if the string is flat or sharp. Your goal is to get a readout of 3 arrows on each side. Too few on the left? It's sharp. Loosen peg. Too few on the right? It's flat. Tighten peg. Tune and pluck, tune and pluck...bingo! Everyone I've shown it to wants one. It's a little expensive, but if you want a fast and easy way to tune, this is for you.
